Honey Garlic Chicken Wings

These sticky, golden-brown chicken wings are coated in a sweet and savory honey garlic glaze with a hint of pepper. Perfect for game day, family dinners, or an easy appetizer!

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken wings, split into flats and drumettes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

Honey Garlic Sauce

  • ⅓ cup honey
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil and lightly grease it.
  2. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels.
  3. Toss the wings with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika until evenly coated.
  4. Arrange the wings in a single layer on the baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 40–45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the skin is crispy and golden.
  6. While the wings bake, combine the honey, soy sauce, garlic, butter, and apple cider vinegar in a small saucepan. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  7. Mix the cornstarch with the water, then stir it into the sauce. Cook for 1–2 minutes, until the glaze thickens.
  8. Toss the hot baked wings in the honey garlic sauce until fully coated.
  9. Return the wings to the oven for 5 minutes to caramelize the glaze.
  10. Serve immediately with ranch or blue cheese dressing, if desired.

Tips

  • For extra crispy wings, pat them very dry before seasoning.
  • Add a pinch of cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley or sesame seeds before serving.
