Ingredients
- 2 pounds chicken wings, split into flats and drumettes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
Honey Garlic Sauce
- ⅓ cup honey
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil and lightly grease it.
- Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels.
- Toss the wings with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika until evenly coated.
- Arrange the wings in a single layer on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the skin is crispy and golden.
- While the wings bake, combine the honey, soy sauce, garlic, butter, and apple cider vinegar in a small saucepan. Bring to a gentle simmer.
- Mix the cornstarch with the water, then stir it into the sauce. Cook for 1–2 minutes, until the glaze thickens.
- Toss the hot baked wings in the honey garlic sauce until fully coated.
- Return the wings to the oven for 5 minutes to caramelize the glaze.
- Serve immediately with ranch or blue cheese dressing, if desired.
Tips
- For extra crispy wings, pat them very dry before seasoning.
- Add a pinch of cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
- Garnish with chopped parsley or sesame seeds before serving.
