Bacon-Wrapped Green Bean Bundles
Ingredients
- 2 lbs fresh green beans, trimmed
- 12 slices bacon, cut in half
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the green beans and cook for 3–4 minutes until crisp-tender. Drain and immediately transfer to ice water, then drain again.
- Divide the green beans into 12 small bundles.
- Wrap each bundle with half a slice of bacon and place seam-side down in a lightly greased baking dish.
- In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, and salt.
- Brush the mixture generously over each bacon-wrapped bundle.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the bacon is cooked and caramelized. For extra crisp bacon, broil for 2–3 minutes at the end.
- Serve immediately as a delicious side dish with roast chicken, turkey, steak, or pork.
