One-Pot Beefy Shell Pasta
Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) lean ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups medium pasta shells
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
- Chopped parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet or pot over medium-high heat.
- Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess grease if needed.
- Stir in the onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook for 3–4 minutes until softened.
- Add the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, Italian seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Stir in the uncooked pasta shells and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the top, cover for 2–3 minutes until melted.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
