These golden, flaky Pastry Balls are crispy on the outside and soft, buttery on the inside. They’re incredibly easy to make and can be filled with sweet or savory ingredients, making them perfect for appetizers, snacks, parties, or dessert.
Ingredients
- 2 sheets frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

- Chocolate hazelnut spread
- Fruit preserves
- Sweetened cream cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, combine the cream cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning until smooth.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut them into equal squares.
- Place about 1 tablespoon of filling in the center of each square.
- Bring the corners together and pinch tightly to seal, forming a smooth ball.
- Arrange the pastry balls seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush each pastry ball with the beaten egg for a shiny, golden finish.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until puffed and deep golden brown.
- Brush the warm pastry balls with melted butter and sprinkle with chopped parsley if making the savory version.
- Serve warm.
