Cheesy Creamed Corn Potatoes Bake
Ingredients
- 2 lbs (900 g) potatoes, peeled and diced into cubes
- 1 can (15 oz / 425 g) creamed corn
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup heavy cream or milk
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and add the diced potatoes.
- In a large bowl, combine the creamed corn, cream, melted butter, onion, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and half of the shredded cheese.
- Pour the mixture over the potatoes and stir gently to coat.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil.
- Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until the potatoes are nearly tender.
- Remove the foil and sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top.
- Return to the oven and bake for another 15–20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
- Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
