Italian Stromboli

 Italian Stromboli

Golden pizza dough wrapped around layers of savory meats and melted cheese, then baked until perfectly golden and brushed with garlic butter. A delicious crowd-pleaser that’s perfect for dinner, parties, or game day!

Ingredients

  • 1 tube refrigerated pizza crust
  • 8 slices deli ham
  • 12 slices Genoa salami
  • 20 slices pepperoni
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Marinara sauce, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle.
  3. Layer the ham evenly over the dough, leaving about 1 inch around the edges.
  4. Add the salami and pepperoni over the ham.
  5. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly on top.
  6. Starting from the long side, roll the dough tightly into a log. Pinch the seams and ends closed.
  7. Place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Brush the top with beaten egg.
  9. Mix the melted butter, garlic, and Italian seasoning together. Brush half of the mixture over the stromboli.
  10. Cut a few small slits on top to allow steam to escape.
  11. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  12. Remove from the oven and immediately brush with the remaining garlic butter mixture.
  13. Let rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing.
  14. Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.

Tips

  • Add sautéed bell peppers, onions, or mushrooms for extra flavor.
  • Substitute provolone cheese for a more authentic Italian-style stromboli.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat in the oven for best results.
