Ingredients
- ½ lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- ½ lb scallops
- ½ lb lump crab meat
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup seafood or chicken broth
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ tsp paprika
- ½ tsp Old Bay seasoning
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ¼ cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Seafood
Pat the shrimp and scallops dry with paper towels. Season lightly with salt, pepper, paprika, and Old Bay seasoning.
Step 2: Cook the Seafood
In a large skillet, heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter over medium heat.
Cook the shrimp for 2 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
Sear the scallops for about 2 minutes per side until golden. Remove and set aside.
Step 3: Make the Creamy Sauce
In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter.
Add onion, garlic, and mushrooms. Sauté for 4–5 minutes until softened.
Sprinkle flour over the vegetables and stir well for 1 minute.
Slowly pour in the broth and heavy cream while whisking continuously.
Add Parmesan cheese and stir until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
Step 4: Combine Everything
Gently fold in the shrimp, scallops, and crab meat.
Add parsley and simmer for 2–3 minutes on low heat.
Step 5: Assemble the Cassolette
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Transfer the seafood mixture into small ramekins or one baking dish.
Top with mozzarella cheese and breadcrumbs.
Step 6: Bake
Bake for 15–18 minutes until bubbly and golden brown on top.
Step 7: Serve
Serve hot with crusty bread, rice, or buttered pasta. Garnish with extra parsley if desired.
