One-Pan Chicken with Buttered Noodles
Creamy Garlic Chicken & Buttered Egg Noodles (Easy One-Pan Dinner)
This is a quick, comforting, and super creamy meal made in just one pan. Perfect for busy nights when you want something delicious without spending hours cooking. Tender chicken, rich creamy sauce, and buttery noodles all come together in one dish
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 oz egg noodles
- 3 tbsp butter
Optional:
- Salt and black pepper
- Chopped parsley for garnish
- Grated parmesan cheese for extra flavor
Instructions:
Cook the chicken
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat olive oil in a large deep skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the chicken and cook for about 5–6 minutes per side, until golden brown and fully cooked.
- Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
Tip: Don’t rush this step—browning the chicken adds extra flavor to the sauce.
Build the garlic base
- In the same pan (don’t clean it), add the minced garlic.
- Sauté for about 30 seconds, just until fragrant.
Be careful not to burn the garlic.
Make the creamy sauce
- Pour in the chicken broth and stir well, scraping up all the flavorful bits from the bottom of the pan.
- Add the heavy cream and mix until smooth and creamy.
Cook the noodles
- Add the egg noodles directly into the pan (no need to pre-boil).
- Let them simmer over medium heat for about 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- The noodles will absorb the sauce and become soft and creamy.
If the sauce gets too thick, add a splash of water or extra broth.
Add chicken and butter
- Slice the cooked chicken and return it to the pan.
- Add the butter and stir until fully melted.
- Let everything simmer together for 2–3 minutes so the flavors combine.
Serve
- Turn off the heat and let it rest for a minute.
- Serve warm and creamy straight from the pan.
- Garnish with parsley or parmesan if desired.
