LongHorn Steakhouse Parmesan Chicken Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness for even cooking.
  3. In a shallow bowl, mix together the bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. In another bowl, whisk the eggs and milk together.
  5. Dip each chicken breast into the egg mixture, then coat well in the Parmesan bread crumb mixture.
  6. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sear the chicken for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  7. Transfer the chicken to the prepared baking dish.
  8. In a small bowl, combine ranch dressing and melted butter. Spread a little over each chicken breast.
  9. Top each piece with shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese and a sprinkle of extra Parmesan.
  10. Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  11. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
