Smoked Gouda Cheesy Mashed Potatoes
Creamy, rich, smoky, and loaded with melty Gouda… these mashed potatoes are pure comfort food perfection
Ingredients
- 3 lbs Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cups smoked Gouda cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Place potatoes in a large pot and cover with salted water.
- Bring to a boil and cook for 15–20 minutes, until fork tender.
- Drain the potatoes well and return them to the pot.
- In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and warm gently.
- Mash the potatoes until smooth and creamy.
- Stir in sour cream and smoked Gouda cheese.
- Slowly add the warm cream mixture while mixing until perfectly creamy.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Garnish with parsley and extra cheese if desired. Serve hot
