Instructions
1) Make the Tater Tot “Dough”
- Bake the tater tots according to package directions until very crispy.
- While hot, place them in a bowl and mash well.
- Mix in shredded cheddar and melted butter until a moldable mixture forms.
2) Shape the Cones
- Let the mixture cool slightly so you can handle it.
- Take a handful and press/shape it around a cone mold (or foil-shaped cones).
- Place cones on a lined baking sheet.
- Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 10–15 minutes until golden and firm. Remove molds carefully.
3) Cook the Filling
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef with onion and garlic.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Drain excess fat.
- Stir in ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, and crumbled bacon. Cook 2–3 minutes more.
4) Assemble
- Spoon the hot bacon cheeseburger mixture into each tater tot cone.
- Top with extra cheddar and return to oven 3–5 minutes to melt.
5) Garnish & Serve
Top with pickles or parsley. Serve hot and crispy.
Tips
- No cone mold? Shape cones with aluminum foil.
- For extra crunch, air-fry the cones 3–4 minutes before filling.
- Add jalapeños for heat or swap beef for turkey.
Enjoy!
