Juicy Oven Pork Tenderloin

Ingredients

  • 1 pork tenderloin (1–1.5 lbs)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the pork tenderloin dry with paper towels.
  3. In a small bowl, mix salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and oregano.
  4. Rub olive oil over the pork, then coat evenly with the seasoning mixture.
  5. Heat an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat and sear pork for 2–3 minutes per side until browned.
  6. Add butter on top of the pork.
  7. Transfer skillet to the oven and roast for 20–25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  8. Let rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing.
  9. Serve with roasted vegetables, potatoes, or salad.

Tips

  • Do not overcook or the pork may dry out.
  • A meat thermometer gives the best results.
  • Letting the meat rest keeps it juicy.

Most recipes recommend roasting after a quick sear for the best texture and flavor.
