Taco Cupcakes Recipe

Servings: 12 (2 cups each)
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 24 wonton wrappers
- 1/2 cup sour cream (for topping)
- 1/2 cup salsa (for topping)
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
Optional toppings:
- Diced tomatoes
- Guacamole
- Sliced jalapeños
- Black olives
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a muffin tin.
- Cook the beef
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat. - Add seasoning
Stir in taco seasoning with a little water (follow packet instructions). Simmer for 3–5 minutes. - Layer the cupcakes
- Place 1 wonton wrapper in each muffin cup
- Add a spoon of taco meat
- Sprinkle cheese
- Add a second wonton wrapper
- Repeat with more beef + cheese on top
- Bake
Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden and crispy. - Cool slightly
Let them sit for 5 minutes before removing from the pan. - Add toppings
Top with sour cream, salsa, green onions, and any extras you like.
Tips:
- Don’t overfill—this keeps them crispy, not soggy
- Try adding beans or corn to the beef for extra flavor
- Serve immediately for the best crunch
