Slow Cooker Glazed Pork Roast
Ingredients:
- 1.5–2 kg (3–4 lbs) pork shoulder or pork butt
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 packet ranch seasoning
- 1 packet au jus gravy mix
- 4–6 pepperoncini peppers (optional but recommended)
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce (or a mix of BBQ + honey for sweetness)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt & black pepper
Instructions:
- Sear the pork (optional but worth it)
Heat olive oil in a pan and sear the pork on all sides until browned. - Add to slow cooker
Place the pork inside your crockpot. - Season & build flavor
Sprinkle ranch seasoning and au jus mix over the top.
Add garlic and pepperoncini peppers. - Add butter & sauce
Place butter on top and pour BBQ sauce over everything. - Cook low & slow
- LOW: 8 hours
- HIGH: 5–6 hours
- Finish (for that crispy top look)
Transfer to oven and broil for 5–10 minutes to get that caramelized crust like in the - Serve
Spoon the juices over the meat or shred it for sandwiches.
Tips:
- Add a little brown sugar or honey if you want it sweeter
- Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or bread
- The sauce gets even better the next day
