Meat Lovers Pizza Bread
Savory, cheesy, and packed with bold Italian flavors, this pizza bread is the ultimate comfort bite. With seasoned ground beef, melty cheese, and a golden crust, it’s perfect for family dinners, game nights, or anytime you’re craving something hearty and satisfying.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 lb lean ground beef
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional, for extra richness)
- 1/4 cup sliced pepperoni (optional)
- 1 loaf French bread (or Italian bread), sliced in half lengthwise
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cook the beef
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess grease.
Stir in oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well and set aside. - Prepare the bread
Place the sliced bread halves on the baking sheet, cut side up.
Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with Italian seasoning. - Assemble
Spread pizza sauce evenly over the bread.
Add the cooked beef, then top with mozzarella, cheddar, and pepperoni if using. - Bake
Bake for 10–15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and slightly golden. - Serve
Slice into pieces and serve hot. Perfect as a main dish or a crowd-pleasing appetizer!
