Slow Cooker 3-Ingredient French Dip Sandwiches

Slow Cooker 3-Ingredient French Dip Sandwiches

Ingredients:

  • 1.2–1.5 kg beef chuck roast
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix
  • 1 packet dry onion soup mix
  • 6–8 sandwich rolls (hoagie or French rolls)

(Optional: sliced provolone or mozzarella cheese)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the beef:
Place the beef chuck roast in your slow cooker.
  2. Add seasoning:
Sprinkle the au jus mix and dry onion soup mix evenly over the meat.
  3. Cook:
    Cover and cook on:

    • Low: 8–10 hours
    • High: 4–5 hours
The beef should be very tender and easy to shred.
  4. Shred the meat:
Remove the beef and shred it using two forks. Return it to the slow cooker and mix it with the juices.
  5. Prepare the sandwiches:
    • Slice the rolls and lightly toast them if you like.
    • Fill with shredded beef.
    • Add cheese (optional) and let it melt.
  6. Serve with au jus:
Pour the cooking liquid into small bowls for dipping.

 Tips:

  • For extra flavor, you can add a splash of Worcestershire sauce or garlic.
  • Skim excess fat from the juice before serving if needed.
  • Toasting the bread helps prevent it from getting soggy.

This recipe is super easy but tastes like something from a restaurant—rich, juicy, and perfect for dipping.
