Ground Beef Tortilla Wraps
Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp chili powder (optional, for heat)
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp tomato paste or 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 4–6 large flour tortillas
- 1 cup lettuce, shredded
- 1 tomato, diced
- 1/4 cup sour cream or yogurt (optional)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Cook the beef
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and cook until soft (about 3–4 minutes).
- Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- Brown the meat
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart.
- Drain excess fat if needed.
- Season
- Stir in paprika, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
- Add tomato paste or sauce and let simmer for 5 minutes.
- Warm the tortillas
- Heat tortillas in a dry pan or microwave for a few seconds until soft.
- Assemble wraps
- Add beef mixture to the center of each tortilla.
- Top with cheese, lettuce, tomato, and sour cream.
- Wrap & serve
- Fold the sides and roll tightly into a wrap.
- Optional: toast in a pan for 2–3 minutes for a crispy finish.
Tips
- Add fries inside for a fun “loaded wrap” version
- Swap beef for chicken or turkey if you prefer
- Add hot sauce or jalapeños for extra kick
