 Ground Beef Tortilla Wraps

 Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder (optional, for heat)
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste or 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 4–6 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup lettuce, shredded
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 1/4 cup sour cream or yogurt (optional)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

 Instructions

  1. Cook the beef
    • Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
    • Add chopped onion and cook until soft (about 3–4 minutes).
    • Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  2. Brown the meat
    • Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart.
    • Drain excess fat if needed.
  3. Season
    • Stir in paprika, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
    • Add tomato paste or sauce and let simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Warm the tortillas
    • Heat tortillas in a dry pan or microwave for a few seconds until soft.
  5. Assemble wraps
    • Add beef mixture to the center of each tortilla.
    • Top with cheese, lettuce, tomato, and sour cream.
  6. Wrap & serve
    • Fold the sides and roll tightly into a wrap.
    • Optional: toast in a pan for 2–3 minutes for a crispy finish.

Tips

  • Add fries inside for a fun “loaded wrap” version
  • Swap beef for chicken or turkey if you prefer
  • Add hot sauce or jalapeños for extra kick
