Sausage Gravy Breakfast Pizza
Flaky crescent crust topped with creamy sausage gravy, fluffy scrambled eggs, and melted cheese — the perfect hearty breakfast!
Ingredients:
- 1 tube refrigerated crescent rolls
- 1 cup cooked breakfast sausage (crumbled)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon milk (for eggs)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (optional)
- Optional toppings: chopped green onions, bacon bits, or diced bell peppers
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare the crust:
Unroll the crescent dough and press it into a greased baking sheet or pizza pan. Pinch seams together to form a solid crust. Bake for 8–10 minutes until lightly golden. - Make the sausage gravy:
In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add flour and whisk for 1–2 minutes to make a roux. Slowly add milk while whisking continuously until thickened. Stir in the cooked sausage, then season with salt and pepper. - Cook the eggs:
In a bowl, whisk eggs with 1 tablespoon milk. Scramble them in a pan over medium heat until just set (don’t overcook). - Assemble the pizza:
Spread the sausage gravy over the baked crust. Add scrambled eggs evenly on top. Sprinkle with cheddar and mozzarella cheese. - Bake again:
Return to oven and bake for 5–7 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly. - Serve:
Garnish with optional toppings if desired. Slice and enjoy warm!
Tip: You can add a little hot sauce or red pepper flakes if you like some heat!
