 Classic Tuna Noodle Casserole

 Ingredients:

  • 2 cups egg noodles (cooked and drained)
  • 2 cans tuna (drained)
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (or cream of celery)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup peas (optional but traditional)
  • 1/2 to 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Topping:

  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (or crushed crackers / chips)

 Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. Cook the egg noodles until just tender, then drain them.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together:
    • cooked noodles
    • drained tuna
    • cream of mushroom soup
    • milk
    • peas
    • shredded cheese
  4. Season with salt and pepper, and mix well.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  6. Combine breadcrumbs with melted butter, then sprinkle on top.
  7. Bake for 20–30 minutes, until hot, bubbly, and golden on top.

 Result:

A creamy, cheesy, comforting casserole with tender noodles and classic tuna flavor — a true American comfort food.
