 Cheese Puff Pastry Bites

Crispy, golden squares of Puff Pastry filled with a creamy, cheesy center—perfect as a warm appetizer or party snack.

 Ingredients

  • 1 sheet Puff Pastry, thawed
  • 200 g cream cheese (Kiri or Philadelphia style)
  • 100 g shredded cheese (mozzarella or edam)
  • 1 egg yolk
  • Chopped parsley
  • A pinch of black pepper
  • A small pinch of salt
  • 1 beaten egg (for brushing)

 Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry and cut into equal squares.
  3. Brush the edges of each square with beaten egg.
  4. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, shredded cheese, egg yolk, parsley, pepper, and salt.
  5. Place a spoonful of the cheese mixture in the center of each square.
  6. Slightly fold the edges inward, leaving the center visible.
  7. Bake for 15–20 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
  8. Garnish with a little parsley and serve warm.

 Tips

  • Add a little minced garlic for extra flavor.
  • You can prepare them ahead and bake just before serving.
  • Serve warm with a light dipping sauce or tea.
