Cheese Puff Pastry Bites
Crispy, golden squares of Puff Pastry filled with a creamy, cheesy center—perfect as a warm appetizer or party snack.
Ingredients
- 1 sheet Puff Pastry, thawed
- 200 g cream cheese (Kiri or Philadelphia style)
- 100 g shredded cheese (mozzarella or edam)
- 1 egg yolk
- Chopped parsley
- A pinch of black pepper
- A small pinch of salt
- 1 beaten egg (for brushing)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Roll out the puff pastry and cut into equal squares.
- Brush the edges of each square with beaten egg.
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, shredded cheese, egg yolk, parsley, pepper, and salt.
- Place a spoonful of the cheese mixture in the center of each square.
- Slightly fold the edges inward, leaving the center visible.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
- Garnish with a little parsley and serve warm.
Tips
- Add a little minced garlic for extra flavor.
- You can prepare them ahead and bake just before serving.
- Serve warm with a light dipping sauce or tea.
