 Cheesy Baked Meatballs

Description

Juicy and flavorful baked meatballs mixed with melted cheese, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Perfect as an appetizer, snack, or main dish.

 Ingredients

  • 500g ground beef (or a mix of beef and chicken)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

 Instructions

1. Prepare the Mixture

In a large bowl, combine ground meat, egg, breadcrumbs, and milk.
Add the chopped onion, garlic, spices, and parsley.
Mix everything well until fully combined.

2. Add the Cheese

Mix in half of the shredded cheese into the meat mixture.
Keep the other half for stuffing inside the meatballs (optional).

3. Shape the Meatballs

Form small balls using your hands.
If you like, place a small amount of cheese inside each ball and seal it well.

4. Bake

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Place the meatballs on a lightly oiled baking tray.
Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown and fully cooked.

5. Optional

Turn on the broiler (grill) for 3–5 minutes at the end for a crispy top.

 Serving Suggestions

  • Serve hot
  • Pair with ketchup, mayonnaise, or tomato sauce
  • Great with rice, pasta, or potatoes

 Tips

  • Add more cheese or a little milk for extra softness.
  • Don’t overmix the meat to keep it tender.
  • You can also fry them instead of baking.
