  Ravioli Casserole

 Ingredients

  • 1 lb Italian sausage
  • 1 (28-oz) jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 (8-oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 (25-oz) bag frozen cheese ravioli
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

 Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the Italian sausage until browned. Drain excess grease.
  3. Stir the spaghetti sauce into the cooked sausage. Simmer for 3–4 minutes.
  4. In a bowl, mix cottage cheese, softened cream cheese, sour cream, parsley, and garlic powder until smooth and creamy.
  5. Spread a thin layer of the meat sauce on the bottom of the baking dish.
  6. Arrange half of the frozen ravioli in a single layer over the sauce.
  7. Spread half of the cheese mixture over the ravioli.
  8. Spoon over some meat sauce, then sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan.
  9. Repeat the layers: ravioli → cheese mixture → meat sauce → cheeses.
  10. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  11. Remove foil and bake an additional 10–15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  12. Let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving. Garnish with extra parsley if desired.

Tips

  • No need to thaw the ravioli before baking.
  • You can substitute ground beef for sausage.
  • Tastes even better the next day after flavors meld together.
