Ravioli Casserole
Ingredients
- 1 lb Italian sausage
- 1 (28-oz) jar spaghetti sauce
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1 (8-oz) package cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup sour cream
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 1 (25-oz) bag frozen cheese ravioli
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the Italian sausage until browned. Drain excess grease.
- Stir the spaghetti sauce into the cooked sausage. Simmer for 3–4 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix cottage cheese, softened cream cheese, sour cream, parsley, and garlic powder until smooth and creamy.
- Spread a thin layer of the meat sauce on the bottom of the baking dish.
- Arrange half of the frozen ravioli in a single layer over the sauce.
- Spread half of the cheese mixture over the ravioli.
- Spoon over some meat sauce, then sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan.
- Repeat the layers: ravioli → cheese mixture → meat sauce → cheeses.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake an additional 10–15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving. Garnish with extra parsley if desired.
Tips
- No need to thaw the ravioli before baking.
- You can substitute ground beef for sausage.
- Tastes even better the next day after flavors meld together.
