Delightful Salmon Bites
Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) fresh salmon fillet, skin removed
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika (optional, for color & flavor)
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- Optional dipping sauce: 1/4 cup mayonnaise + 1 tsp lemon juice + 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
Instructions
- Prepare the salmon:
- Cut the salmon into bite-sized cubes, about 1 inch (2.5 cm) each.
- Season the salmon:
- In a medium bowl, toss the salmon cubes with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and lemon juice. Make sure each piece is coated evenly.
- Heat the pan:
- In a large non-stick skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Cook the salmon bites:
- Add the salmon cubes in a single layer (don’t overcrowd the pan).
- Cook for 2–3 minutes on each side, until golden brown and just cooked through. They should be slightly crispy on the outside and tender inside.
- Garnish:
- Remove from the pan and sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley.
- Serve:
- Serve immediately with optional dipping sauce on the side.
- These bites are perfect as an appetizer, snack, or served over rice or a fresh salad.
Tips
- Do not overcook: Salmon cooks quickly; overcooking will make it dry.
- Flavor variations: Add a pinch of cayenne pepper for heat or drizzle honey-garlic sauce for a sweet twist.
- Air-fryer option: Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 10–12 minutes, shaking halfway through.
