Juicy, flavorful tandoori chicken marinated in creamy yogurt, aromatic spices, garlic, and lemon, then air-fried until beautifully charred and tender. Serve it with naan, rice, or your favorite dipping sauce for an easy, restaurant-style meal at home.
Ingredients
- 700 g chicken
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons tandoori masala
- 2 tablespoons garlic paste
- 4 tablespoons plain yogurt
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Add the chicken to a large bowl and combine with the salt, tandoori masala, garlic paste, yogurt, lemon juice, oregano, cumin, coriander, paprika, and black pepper. Mix well until the chicken is evenly coated.
- Cover and marinate for at least 30 minutes. For deeper flavor, refrigerate overnight.
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (180°C).
- Arrange the marinated chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry for 20 minutes, turning halfway through if needed.
- Add potatoes, peas, or your favorite vegetables to the basket. Continue air frying for another 10–14 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the vegetables are tender.
- Serve hot with naan, basmati rice, salad, or your favorite dipping sauce.
Tip: For extra charred edges, increase the air fryer temperature to 400°F (200°C) for the final 2–3 minutes, keeping a close eye on the chicken.
