Crispy Cheesy Hotdog Bake
This easy Crispy Cheesy Hotdog Bake is a quick, cheesy comfort food that’s perfect for a fun family dinner, game day, or an easy snack. Juicy beef hotdogs are baked until golden and bubbly under a delicious layer of melted cheddar and Parmesan cheese.
Ingredients
- 4 beef hotdogs
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon dried parsley
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon breadcrumbs, optional
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a small baking dish.
- Prepare the hotdogs: Slice each hotdog lengthwise, being careful not to cut completely through. Place them in the prepared baking dish.
- Add the seasoning: Brush the hotdogs with melted butter. Sprinkle with garlic powder, smoked paprika, dried parsley, and black pepper.
- Add the cheese: Fill the sliced hotdogs with shredded cheddar cheese, then sprinkle the Parmesan evenly over the top. Add breadcrumbs if you want an extra-crispy topping.
- Bake: Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the hotdogs are heated through and the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden brown.
- Broil for extra crispiness: For an extra-golden top, switch the oven to broil and cook for 1–2 minutes, watching closely so the cheese doesn’t burn.
- Serve: Let them cool for a minute, then serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ketchup, mustard, or ranch.
Tip
For an even cheesier result, add a little mozzarella along with the cheddar for extra meltiness.
