Slow Cooker Beef Cubed Steaks
Ingredients
- 4 beef cube steaks
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 packet onion soup mix
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Place the sliced onions in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Season the cube steaks with garlic powder and black pepper.
- Heat the butter in a skillet over medium-high heat and brown the steaks for about 2 minutes on each side.
- In a bowl, whisk together the beef broth, onion soup mix, cream of mushroom soup, and flour.
- Arrange the steaks on top of the onions and pour the sauce over them.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, or on high for 3 to 4 hours, until the meat is tender.
- Spoon the gravy over the steaks and garnish with parsley if desired.
Serving suggestions: Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or buttered noodles. Enjoy!
