Air Fryer Poached Eggs
Air Fryer Poached Eggs are an easy, hands-off way to enjoy perfectly cooked eggs with tender whites and soft, runny yolks. There’s no need to watch a pot of simmering water or worry about swirling techniques. In just a few minutes, you’ll have a healthy, protein-packed breakfast that’s perfect for toast, avocado, salads, or breakfast bowls.
Ingredients
- 2 large eggs
- 2 small oven-safe ramekins
- 2 tablespoons water (1 tablespoon per ramekin)
- Cooking spray or a light coating of butter or oil
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3–5 minutes.
- Lightly grease two small ramekins with cooking spray or butter.
- Add 1 tablespoon of water to each ramekin.
- Crack one egg into each ramekin, being careful not to break the yolk.
- Place the ramekins into the air fryer basket.
- Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 5–7 minutes, depending on how runny you like the yolk.
- 5 minutes: very runny yolk
- 6 minutes: soft, jammy yolk
- 7 minutes: firmer yolk
- Carefully remove the ramekins using tongs or oven mitts.
- Use a spoon to gently lift the eggs from the ramekins. If needed, drain off any remaining water.
Serving Suggestions
- Serve over buttered toast.
- Top avocado toast with freshly cracked black pepper.
- Add to grain bowls or salads.
- Enjoy with sautéed spinach and mushrooms.
- Pair with crispy bacon, sausage, or roasted potatoes.
Tips
- Cooking times may vary slightly depending on your air fryer model.
- Use room-temperature eggs for more even cooking.
- Silicone muffin cups also work well instead of ramekins.
- Season with salt and pepper after cooking for the best flavor.
Storage
Poached eggs are best enjoyed fresh. If needed, refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 1 day. Reheat gently in warm water for about 1 minute before serving.
