Cherry Pie Smokies
These Cherry Pie Smokies are a fun, sweet-and-savory appetizer made with cocktail sausages wrapped in flaky crescent dough and topped with cherry pie filling. They’re perfect for parties, game days, or holiday gatherings.
Ingredients
- 2 (8 oz) cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 2 (14 oz) packages cocktail smoked sausages (Lil’ Smokies)
- 1 (21 oz) can cherry pie filling
- 1 egg, beaten (optional, for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon coarse sugar (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles. Cut each triangle into 3 smaller triangles.
- Wrap one cocktail sausage in each piece of dough and place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse sugar, if using.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the dough is puffed and golden brown.
- Warm the cherry pie filling in a small saucepan or microwave until heated through.
- Serve the warm smokies with the cherry pie filling spooned over the top or on the side for dipping.
