Cherry Pie Smokies

Cherry Pie Smokies

These Cherry Pie Smokies are a fun, sweet-and-savory appetizer made with cocktail sausages wrapped in flaky crescent dough and topped with cherry pie filling. They’re perfect for parties, game days, or holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 (8 oz) cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 2 (14 oz) packages cocktail smoked sausages (Lil’ Smokies)
  • 1 (21 oz) can cherry pie filling
  • 1 egg, beaten (optional, for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon coarse sugar (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles. Cut each triangle into 3 smaller triangles.
  3. Wrap one cocktail sausage in each piece of dough and place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse sugar, if using.
  5. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the dough is puffed and golden brown.
  6. Warm the cherry pie filling in a small saucepan or microwave until heated through.
  7. Serve the warm smokies with the cherry pie filling spooned over the top or on the side for dipping.

Tips

  • Sprinkle with powdered sugar for a dessert-style twist.
  • Serve with cream cheese dip for an extra creamy contrast.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven or air fryer.

Enjoy!
