Cabbage and Ground Beef Skillet

Ingredients
- 1 small cabbage, chopped
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
- 1 can (15 oz / 425 g) diced tomatoes
- 1 cup onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ cup beef broth or water (optional)
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat.
- Add the chopped onion and cook for 3–4 minutes until softened.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess grease if needed.
- Season with paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Add the diced tomatoes (with their juices) and stir well.
- Mix in the chopped cabbage and add the beef broth or water if desired.
- Cover and cook over medium-low heat for 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender.
- Taste and adjust seasoning before serving.
