Ingredients

For the French Dip Bites:

  • 1 lb (450g) thinly sliced deli roast beef
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese, cut into smaller pieces
  • 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried parsley

For the Au Jus:

  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix
  • 2 cups water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Separate the biscuit dough and flatten each biscuit into a 4-inch circle.
  3. Place a portion of roast beef and a piece of Swiss cheese in the center of each biscuit.
  4. Fold the dough around the filling and pinch the edges tightly to seal, forming a ball.
  5. Place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Mix the melted butter, garlic powder, and parsley. Brush generously over each biscuit pocket.
  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Meanwhile, prepare the au jus according to the package directions using 2 cups of water.
  9. Serve the warm French Dip Bites with the au jus on the side for dipping.

Tips

  • Add caramelized onions for extra flavor.
  • Substitute provolone cheese for Swiss if preferred.
