Slow Cooker Stuffed Shells
Ingredients
- 20 jumbo pasta shells
- 1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the pasta shells until slightly firm (al dente). Drain and let cool.
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef with onion until browned. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute. Drain excess grease.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta, 1 cup mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir in the cooked meat mixture.
- Fill each pasta shell with the cheese and meat mixture.
- Spread a little marinara sauce on the bottom of the slow cooker. Arrange stuffed shells inside.
- Pour remaining sauce over the shells and top with the rest of the mozzarella cheese.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours until hot and bubbly.
- Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
