Hearty Slow-Cooked Chicken and Gravy: A Comfort Food Classic

This cozy crockpot chicken and gravy is rich, creamy, and packed with comforting flavor. Perfect served over mashed potatoes, rice, or biscuits for an easy family dinner!

Ingredients:

  • 3–4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 packets chicken gravy mix
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 2 cups water or chicken broth
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot.
  2. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the gravy packets, cream of chicken soup, and water or broth until smooth.
  4. Pour the mixture over the chicken.
  5. Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours.
  6. Shred the chicken with two forks directly in the crockpot.
  7. Stir in the sour cream until creamy and fully combined.
  8. Serve hot over mashed potatoes, rice, noodles, or biscuits. Garnish with parsley if desired.
