Slow Cooker Sausage & Peppers

The ultimate easy comfort meal — juicy sausage, sweet peppers, onions, and rich sauce cooked low and slow until perfectly tender. Minimal prep and packed with flavor!

Ingredients

  • 2 packs smoked sausage or Italian sausage, sliced
  • 2 large green bell peppers, sliced
  • 2 large red bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1½ cups marinara sauce or BBQ sauce

Instructions

  1. Add the sliced peppers and onions to the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. Place the sliced sausage on top.
  3. Pour the sauce over everything.
  4. Stir gently to combine.
  5. Cover and cook:
    • LOW: 4–5 hours
    • HIGH: 2–3 hours
  6. Serve hot with toasted rolls, rice, or mashed potatoes.

Optional Add-Ins

  • Garlic powder
  • Italian seasoning
  • Crushed red pepper flakes
  • Melted mozzarella on top
