Air Fryer Pork Loin Roast with Crispy Crackling

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg pork loin joint
  • 1–2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt (preferably coarse)
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon rosemary or thyme (optional)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the skin (key for crackling):
Pat the skin completely dry with paper towels. The drier it is, the better the crackling will be.

2. Seasoning:
Rub the pork with olive oil, then season well with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and herbs all over.

3. Air fryer setup:
Place the pork in the air fryer basket skin side down first.

4. Cooking:

  • Cook at 200°C (390°F) for 30 minutes, skin side down
  • Then flip and cook skin side up for another 30 minutes

5. Extra crispiness (optional):
If the crackling isn’t crispy enough, cook for an additional 3–5 minutes at 200°C.

Serving suggestion:
Serve with roasted potatoes, vegetables, or apple/mustard sauce

Tips:

Dry skin = perfect crackling
Don’t open the air fryer too often
You can add honey or garlic glaze for extra flavor
