Ultimate 5-Ingredient Slow Cooker Patriots Day Lasagna

 Ingredients

  • 9–12 lasagna noodles (uncooked)
  • 500 g ground beef (or ground turkey)
  • 1 jar (about 650–700 g) marinara sauce
  • 1½ cups ricotta cheese (or cottage cheese)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

 Instructions

  1. Cook the meat
    In a pan over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add sauce
    Stir the marinara sauce into the cooked meat and let it simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  3. Layer in the slow cooker
    • Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom
    • Add a layer of uncooked noodles (break to fit if needed)
    • Spread some ricotta cheese
    • Sprinkle mozzarella
    • Repeat layers until ingredients are used, finishing with mozzarella on top
  4. Cook
    Cover and cook:

    • Low: 4–6 hours
    • High: 2–3 hours
  5. Rest before serving
    Let it sit for 10–15 minutes before slicing—this helps it hold together.

 Tips

  • You can add Italian seasoning or garlic powder if you want extra flavor (optional).
  • Cottage cheese works great if you don’t have ricotta.
  • For a richer taste, mix a little Parmesan into the mozzarella.
