Simple Oven-Baked BBQ Pork Chops
Ingredients
- 4 pork chops (bone-in or boneless)
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce (your favorite)
- 1–2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt & black pepper (to taste)
- 1 tsp garlic powder (optional)
- 1 tsp paprika (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven
Set your oven to 200°C (400°F). - Season the pork chops
Pat dry, then rub with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. - Add BBQ sauce
Place chops in a baking dish or tray and brush generously with barbecue sauce. - Bake
- Bake for 20–25 minutes
- Flip halfway and brush with more sauce
- Optional (for caramelized finish)
Broil (grill mode) for 3–5 minutes at the end to get a sticky glaze. - Rest & serve
Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Tips for Best Results
- Use thicker pork chops so they stay juicy.
- You can sear them in a pan first for extra flavor, then finish in the oven.
- BBQ sauce will caramelize nicely in the oven, giving a sweet smoky glaze.
