Fried Bologna Sandwich
Ingredients
- 4 slices white or sourdough bread
- 4 slices bologna
- 2 slices cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tsp mustard
Instructions
- Prep the bread
Spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice of bread. On the other side, spread a little mustard (adjust to taste). - Cook the bologna
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Add a small amount of butter.
- Place the bologna slices in the pan.
- Fry for about 1–2 minutes per side until slightly crispy.
(Tip: Make small cuts on the edges so they don’t curl up.)
- Assemble the sandwich
- Place cheddar cheese on top of the hot bologna slices so it starts to melt.
- Stack the bologna and cheese onto the bread (mayo side facing in).
- Grill the sandwich
- Butter the outside of the bread.
- Place the sandwich in the skillet.
- Cook for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve
Slice in half and enjoy hot!
