Crispy Breaded Chicken Fillets

 Ingredients

 For the Chicken:

  • 2 large chicken breasts (sliced into fillets)
  • Salt & black pepper (to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

 Breading Station:

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs (beaten)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (or panko for extra crunch)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp oregano or Italian seasoning

 Instructions

1. Prepare the chicken

  • Slice the chicken breasts into even fillets.
  • Season both sides with salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  • Let them rest for 10–15 minutes so the flavors absorb.

2. Set up the breading station

Place three bowls:

  • Bowl 1: flour
  • Bowl 2: beaten eggs
  • Bowl 3: breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan and oregano

3. Bread the chicken

  • Coat each fillet in flour (shake off excess).
  • Dip into the beaten eggs.
  • Press into the breadcrumb mixture until fully coated.

4. Cook the chicken choose one method

Pan-frying crispiest:

  • Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  • Fry fillets 3–5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.

 Oven-baked (lighter option):

  • Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).
  • Place chicken on a baking tray lined with parchment.
  • Spray lightly with oil.
  • Bake 18–22 minutes, flipping halfway.

Air fryer:

  • Cook at 190°C (375°F) for 12–15 minutes.
  • Flip halfway through for even crispiness.

 Serving Ideas

  • Serve with fries, salad, or rice
  • Add garlic mayo, ketchup, or honey mustard
  • Squeeze lemon on top for extra flavor
