Cheesy BBQ Chicken Pizza Rolls
Ingredients
For the Filling:
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
For the Dough:
- 1 can refrigerated pizza dough (or homemade)
Optional Add-ins:
- 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup cooked bacon bits
- 1/4 cup corn (for a sweet twist)
For Topping:
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven
Set your oven to 190°C (375°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper. - Prepare the filling
In a bowl, mix shredded chicken with BBQ sauce until well coated.
Add mozzarella cheese and any optional ingredients, then stir. - Roll out the dough
On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle. - Add the filling
Spread the BBQ chicken mixture evenly over the dough. - Roll it up
Tightly roll the dough into a log (like cinnamon rolls). - Slice
Cut into 1–1.5 inch pieces and place them on the baking tray. - Add topping
Mix melted butter with garlic powder and brush over the rolls. - Bake
Bake for 18–22 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly. - Serve
Let cool slightly, sprinkle parsley, and serve warm. Extra BBQ sauce for dipping
Tips
- Use rotisserie chicken for extra flavor and speed
- Don’t overfill or the rolls may open while baking
- Add cheddar cheese for a stronger cheesy taste
