Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Pork Chops

 Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops (bone-in or boneless)
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup water or chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

 Instructions

1. Sear the pork chops

  • Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  • Season pork chops with pepper and paprika.
  • Sear for 2–3 minutes per side until nicely browned (this adds flavor).

2. Prepare the sauce

  • In a bowl, mix:
    • Honey
    • Soy sauce
    • Ketchup
    • Garlic
    • Water or broth

3. Assemble in slow cooker

  • Add sliced onions to the bottom.
  • Place seared pork chops on top.
  • Pour the sauce over everything.

4. Cook

  • Cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours
  • The pork will become tender and soak up all the sauce.

5. Thicken the sauce (optional)

  • Mix cornstarch with 2 tbsp water.
  • Stir into the slow cooker and cook another 10–15 minutes until thickened.

 Serving Ideas

  • Serve with rice, mashed potatoes, or bread to soak up the sauce
  • Add steamed veggies on the side

Tip: If you like a slightly smoky taste like in the photo, broil the pork chops for 3–5 minutes after slow cooking.
