 Pioneer Woman Cheeseburger Pie – Cheesy Comfort Classic

Ingredients

  • 1 large onion, chopped (about 1 cup)
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup Bisquick (or baking mix)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a 9-inch pie dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the onion and ground beef until beef is browned. Drain excess fat. Stir in the salt.
  3. Spread the beef mixture evenly into the pie dish.
  4. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the beef.
  5. In a bowl, whisk together Bisquick, milk, and eggs until smooth.
  6. Pour this mixture over the beef and cheese.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes until the top is golden and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Let rest 5 minutes before slicing.

Tips

  • Add pickles or mustard on top after baking for a true cheeseburger vibe.
  • Swap cheddar for Colby Jack or mozzarella if you like it extra melty.
