Pioneer Woman Cheeseburger Pie – Cheesy Comfort Classic
Ingredients
- 1 large onion, chopped (about 1 cup)
- 1 lb ground beef
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup Bisquick (or baking mix)
- 1 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a 9-inch pie dish.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the onion and ground beef until beef is browned. Drain excess fat. Stir in the salt.
- Spread the beef mixture evenly into the pie dish.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the beef.
- In a bowl, whisk together Bisquick, milk, and eggs until smooth.
- Pour this mixture over the beef and cheese.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until the top is golden and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let rest 5 minutes before slicing.
Tips
- Add pickles or mustard on top after baking for a true cheeseburger vibe.
- Swap cheddar for Colby Jack or mozzarella if you like it extra melty.
