Ingredients
Main
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef or sausage
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
Creamy Base
- 1 can (10.5 oz / 300 g) cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup sour cream
Add-ins
- 1 cup cooked pasta or rice
- 1/2 cup corn (optional)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Seasoning
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Cook the meat
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat
- Add ground beef and diced onion
- Cook until the meat is browned and fully cooked (about 6–8 minutes)
- Drain excess fat if needed
- Add garlic and cook for 1 more minute
2. Make the creamy mixture
- Stir in the cream of mushroom soup and sour cream
- Mix well until smooth and creamy
3. Combine everything
- Add cooked pasta (or rice), corn, paprika, salt, and pepper
- Stir until everything is evenly coated
4. Assemble
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish
- Spread evenly
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top
5. Bake
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until hot and bubbly
- The cheese should be melted and slightly golden
6. Serve
- Let it cool for 5 minutes
- Serve warm and enjoy your cheesy, creamy casserole
