Ingredients

 Main

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef or sausage
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

 Creamy Base

  • 1 can (10.5 oz / 300 g) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

 Add-ins

  • 1 cup cooked pasta or rice
  • 1/2 cup corn (optional)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

 Seasoning

  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

 Instructions

1. Cook the meat

  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat
  • Add ground beef and diced onion
  • Cook until the meat is browned and fully cooked (about 6–8 minutes)
  • Drain excess fat if needed
  • Add garlic and cook for 1 more minute

2. Make the creamy mixture

  • Stir in the cream of mushroom soup and sour cream
  • Mix well until smooth and creamy

3. Combine everything

  • Add cooked pasta (or rice), corn, paprika, salt, and pepper
  • Stir until everything is evenly coated

4. Assemble

  • Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish
  • Spread evenly
  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top

5. Bake

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
  • Bake for 20–25 minutes until hot and bubbly
  • The cheese should be melted and slightly golden

6. Serve

  • Let it cool for 5 minutes
  • Serve warm and enjoy your cheesy, creamy casserole

 Tips

  • Add jalapeños or hot sauce for a spicy version
  • Use chicken instead of beef for a lighter option
  • Top with crushed crackers or chips for extra crunch
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days
