 Baked Creamy Tomato Basil Chicken

 Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14–15 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt & black pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven

  • Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F)

2. Season & sear the chicken

  • Season chicken with salt and pepper
  • Heat olive oil in a pan and sear chicken for 5–7 minutes per side until golden
  • Remove and set aside

3. Make the creamy tomato sauce

  • In the same pan, sauté garlic for about 1 minute
  • Add diced tomatoes and cook for 2–3 minutes
  • Pour in the heavy cream and stir well
  • Add Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and basil
  • Let it simmer until creamy

This sauce combines tomatoes, cream, garlic, and basil for a rich flavor

4. Bake everything together

  • Place chicken in a baking dish
  • Pour the creamy tomato sauce over the chicken
  • Bake for 20–25 minutes until fully cooked

5. Serve

  • Garnish with extra fresh basil
  • Serve with rice, pasta, or roasted vegetables

 Tips

  • Add mozzarella on top before baking for a cheesy version
  • Serve over pasta for a restaurant-style meal
  • You can use chicken thighs instead of breasts
