Slow-Cooker Seasoned Pork Chops

Ingredients
- 4 thick pork chops (boneless or bone-in)
- 1 packet onion soup mix (about 1 oz / 28 g)
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ¼ tsp salt (optional, soup mix is salty)
- ½ cup water or chicken broth
Optional add-ins (for extra flavor)
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- ½ cup cream of mushroom soup (for a creamy sauce)
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tbsp olive oil (for searing, optional)
Instructions
- Optional sear (adds flavor):
Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Sear pork chops 1–2 minutes per side until lightly browned. - Layer in slow cooker:
Place pork chops in the slow cooker in a single layer. - Season:
Sprinkle onion soup mix, black pepper, garlic powder, and salt over the chops. - Add liquid:
Pour in the water or chicken broth around the chops. - Add extras (optional):
Top with sliced onion, garlic, mushrooms, paprika, or cream of mushroom soup. - Cook:
- LOW: 6–7 hours
- HIGH: 3–4 hours
Pork chops should be tender and fully cooked.

Serve hot with the cooking juices as a sauce.
