One Pot Kielbasa Pasta Creamy & Cheesy
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 450 g (1 lb) smoked kielbasa (or turkey/chicken sausage), sliced
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups (480 ml) chicken broth
- 1 can diced tomatoes (about 280–400 g), with juice
- 225 g (8 oz) dry pasta (penne, rotini, or elbows)
- ½ cup (120 ml) milk or heavy cream
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- 1 cup (100 g) shredded cheddar cheese
- Sliced scallions (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat the pan
Add olive oil to a large skillet or pot over medium-high heat. - Cook sausage & onion
Add sliced kielbasa and diced onion. Cook ~5 minutes until browned and softened. - Add garlic
Stir in garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant. - Add everything else
Pour in chicken broth, diced tomatoes, milk/cream, and dry pasta.
Season with salt and pepper, then stir well. - Simmer
Let it cook uncovered for about 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender and sauce thickens. - Make it creamy
Remove from heat and stir in half the cheese until melted. - Finish with cheese
Sprinkle the rest of the cheese on top, cover, and let it melt until gooey. - Serve
Garnish with scallions and serve hot.
