Creamy One-Pot Beef and Shells
Ingredients
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt & black pepper (to taste)
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 can (≈ 400g) tomato sauce
- 2 cups medium pasta shells (uncooked)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1–1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- Optional: parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the beef
In a large pot or pan, heat olive oil. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Break it apart and drain excess fat. - Add onion & garlic
Add diced onion and cook 2–3 minutes until soft. Stir in garlic and cook 1 minute. - Season
Add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. - Add liquids & pasta
Pour in:- beef broth
- tomato sauce
- uncooked pasta shells
Stir well.
- Cook everything together
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender. - Make it creamy
Stir in heavy cream and shredded cheese. - Finish
Cook 2–3 more minutes until cheese melts and sauce becomes creamy. - Serve
Garnish with parsley (optional) and serve hot.
Tips
- Add a little paprika or chili flakes for extra flavor
- You can throw in peas or mushrooms
- If sauce gets thick, add a splash of milk or broth
