Cheesy Steak & Rice Skillet – Rich, Savory & One-Pan Simple!
Ingredients:
- 1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 cup long-grain white rice (uncooked)
- 1½ cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon dried thyme (optional)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or mozzarella)
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Sear the steak
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add steak cubes, season with salt and pepper, and sear for 2–3 minutes until browned.
Remove from skillet and set aside. - Sauté aromatics
In the same pan, melt butter.
Add chopped onion and cook for 2–3 minutes until soft.
Stir in garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant. - Add rice & seasoning
Pour in the uncooked rice, paprika, and thyme.
Stir well to coat the rice with the flavors. - Cook the rice
Add beef broth and bring to a gentle boil.
Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15–18 minutes until rice is tender. - Combine everything
Return the steak to the skillet and mix well.
Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top, cover, and let it melt for 2–3 minutes. - Serve
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot. Enjoy your rich, cheesy skillet meal!
