Asparagus Stuffed Chicken Fillet

Juicy chicken breasts filled with tender asparagus and melty cheese, then baked to golden perfection. Simple, elegant, and full of flavor.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 12 asparagus spears, trimmed
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Toothpicks (to secure)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Slice a pocket into the side of each chicken breast without cutting all the way through.
  3. Season the inside and outside of the chicken with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Stuff each breast with 3 asparagus spears, a sprinkle of garlic, and a generous handful of mozzarella.
  5. Secure the openings with toothpicks.
  6. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 2–3 minutes per side until golden.
  7. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked (internal temp 75°C / 165°F).
  8. Remove toothpicks, let rest for 5 minutes, and serve warm.

Tip: Add a squeeze of lemon juice before serving for extra freshness.
