Baked Garlic Parmesan Potato Wedges

Description

Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, these baked garlic parmesan potato wedges are packed with bold flavor. Coated in olive oil, garlic, herbs, and finished with melted parmesan, they make the perfect side dish or snack.

Ingredients

  • 3–4 large russet potatoes, cut into wedges
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • ½ cup shredded parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven
    Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Prepare the Potatoes
    Wash and scrub the potatoes well. Cut each potato into evenly sized wedges to ensure even cooking.
  3. Season the Wedges
    In a large bowl, combine olive oil, salt, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Add the potato wedges and toss until they are fully coated.
  4. Arrange on Baking Sheet
    Place the wedges on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer, skin side down if possible. Make sure they are not overcrowded.
  5. Bake
    Bake for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the wedges are golden brown and crispy.
  6. Add Parmesan
    Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle the shredded parmesan cheese over the hot wedges.
  7. Final Bake (Optional)
    Return to the oven for 3–5 minutes until the cheese melts and slightly crisps.

Tips

  • For extra crispiness, soak the potato wedges in cold water for 20–30 minutes before baking, then dry thoroughly.
  • You can add paprika or chili flakes for a spicy kick.
  • Serve with your favorite dipping sauce like ranch or garlic aioli.
