Creamy Slow Cooker Beef Chunks

 Ingredients

  • 2 lbs (1 kg) beef chunks (stew meat or chuck)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and black pepper (to taste)
  • 1 cup sour cream (or heavy cream)
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch (optional)
  • 2 tbsp water (optional)
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced (optional)

 Instructions

  1. Place beef chunks in the slow cooker.
  2. Add onion, garlic, and mushrooms.
  3. Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce.
  4. Season with paprika, salt, and pepper.
  5. Cover and cook:
    • LOW: 6–8 hours
    • HIGH: 4–5 hours
  6. (Optional) Mix cornstarch with water, add to the slow cooker, and cook 20–30 minutes until thickened.
  7. Stir in sour cream at the end until creamy.
  8. Serve hot.

 Serving Suggestions

  • Rice
  • Pasta
  • Mashed potatoes

 Notes

  • Add the cream at the end to avoid curdling.
  • Use tender cuts like chuck for best results.
